The Prostate Gland secretes a slightly alkaline fluid, milky or white in appearance, that usually constitutes roughly 30% of the volume of the semen along with spermatozoa and seminal vesicle fluid.

Prostate Cancer is a condition whereby cancer cells develop in said gland of the male reproductive system. Symptoms may include difficulty urinating, blood in the urine, or pain in the pelvis, back or when urinating. Cancer cells may spread to other parts of the body, particularly the bones and lymph nodes, which means that screening, prevention and early detection are essential components of successful treatment of this and other co-morbid conditions.

Men in their 30’s and older should schedule regular screenings with their doctors in order to ensure optimal health and preventative screening.
